🚀 Good news at last: “Your recent app updates have been published!”

After several months of intensive work, I’m excited to share that SamaritanCalls is officially live on both Google Play and the App Store 🎉

I’ve been working as a Full-Stack Developer to revive this project after years of inactivity and usability issues — and the result has been truly rewarding.

🔧 Major Upgrades Completed:

Backend: CodeIgniter 3 ➝ CodeIgniter 4 (latest)
Admin Frontend: Angular 6 ➝ Angular 18
Android App: Legacy structure ➝ Refactored to SDK 35
iOS App: Swift ➝ Latest Swift version

Despite an initial rejection from Google, the updates have now gone through — and the app is available to users on both platforms ✅

SamaritanCalls is a touchless video-calling service for elderly users, designed to make wellness checks, medication reminders, and family video chats super simple and effortless.

On iOS, the app automatically accepts video calls from approved contacts.
On Android, the same ease of access is available.
Care agencies benefit from tools for assigning caregivers, scheduling calls, tracking responsiveness, billing, and managing approved callers — including family members.

This solution is particularly valuable for home care agencies, assisted living facilities, and medical providers, helping overcome staffing constraints, travel demands, and even lockdowns — while remaining affordable and accessible.
